Released by French label ATHANOR as a 7" picture disc in 2002, these tracks are an intentional invocation of a period of transition and transformation. These were recorded several months after the last song on the Fragments Of Legacy CD collection, and did not fit time-wise or thematically.

The first track is a soundtrack of dread, the sensation of shuffling reluctantly down a dark, cavernous hallway, surrounded by echoes of random horrors, towards an uncertain future. The second track enters into a new world of reflective light, with a buildup of shimmering, hopeful sounds as one opens up to new possibilities.

It makes perfect sense to reissue these remastered tracks now, as we struggle to make it through what for most of us is the darkest time in our lived memory. We can only hope that we make it to "the other side" with a greater knowledge than we had before.

Both images were photographed in 2002 by Derek Rush in and around The Cloisters, NYC.
